“The New Clothes” of Rocamora Teatre

The reporter could not attend many shows, since the program of meetings, both technical and puppeteers as gastronomical, was dense and exhaustive. However, we can see some important moments of shows that were done in the street, like the one of Rocamora Teatre (see here) with his "The New Clothes" in Plaça Prat de la Riba, in which Carles Cañellas and Susana Rodríguez acted in the role of minstrels, puppeteers of the Middle Ages with a string puppets manipulated above a trunks that made the stage. A nice version of the classic tale with beautiful marionettes, as is usual in this company has been operated very well. The work wants to denounce the exploitation to which we are subject in today's consumer society. The square filled to overflowing, has awarded with a deserved applause the work of the puppeteers, who with resounding authority was able to impose his art and his story over the festive space with cafes and people walking.
